Heart To Heart

The Lord will Raise You to Prominence

Isaiah 49:7b … “Kings shall see and arise; princes, and they shall prostrate themselves; because of the LORD, who is faithful, the Holy One of Israel, who has chosen you.”

God has an enigmatic way of reversing the order of things. In His economy of things, “the first become last and the last become first”.

God raises us, His church, to prominence because of two things.

One, His faithfulness. It is in His character to be faithful despite how faithless we can be. He sees things to the end. He does not give up or let go. He holds on to His end of the bargain because He is a faithful God.

Two, His sovereign choice. His ways are higher than ours, and we must trust His choice. He does not make mistakes. This means that if He has chosen you, He is certain that you will accomplish it if you are willing to see it through. All you will need is obedience and perseverance.

This tells us one thing – that when God chooses to raise us to prominence, nothing can thwart that purpose. He has chosen us to carry His glory to the kings of this world and it is a privilege to serve our King.
