Releasing His Power

Mark 8:21 “How is it that you do not understand?”

God is constantly dealing with the way we think. It seems that unless we change the way we think about the realities of heaven, we will always be limiting what He can do through us. By the way, in case you were wondering, He wants to do a great deal through us!

Many of us are like the disciples in the early stages of their discipleship with Jesus.  While we may have issues grasping what He is releasing at the moment, the verse is a reality that He wants us to “get it”. With Jesus, missing the point is not an option. This underscores the need for us to constantly ask for the softening of our hearts so that the conditions of our hearts’ soil do not become the limiting factor of His divine release of grace.

The context behind the miracle of the multiplication of food, not just on one but two occasions, was Jesus’ deliberate reiteration that what He could do once, He could do it again and again!

The point for us is this – the same power in Jesus that raised Him from the dead is the same power that is in us. It seems that the thing left for us to do is to catch His heart and align our thinking to that of His reality, so that this power which is meant to be released is released!
