Proverbs 24:3-4 (TPT) – Wise people are builders - they build families, businesses, communities. And through intelligence and insight their enterprises are established and endure. Because of their skilled leadership, the hearts of people are filled with the treasures of wisdom and the pleasures of spiritual wealth.
The word “house” is used across different contexts in the Bible. We read about the house of Israel which refers to the nation of Israel. We read about the “house of David” which refers to his legacy and family. Here in Proverbs 24:3, it spells out the various contexts that include communities, cities, businesses.
As God-seekers who are building lives, this verse is a powerful prophetic declaration that each of us can take a hold of and speak over ourselves and those in our church family. God has given us wisdom and it is out of that wisdom that we build families, businesses and communities in and around us.
In these next few years, we will see enterprises that will come about – those who are entrepreneurial in our midst will begin to establish those enterprises and because of the blessing of God and the values that have been sown into those enterprises, they will have enduring value. Some of these enterprises will even have the potential to become household names of the future, and be passed to another generation for stewardship.
There is a huge masterplan at work for us as a church family and we are at the cusp of its realization. As we prepare to step into a season of stretching, growing and expanding into His call for us to be a blessing to the community around us, we must have a greater awareness of the larger picture of where He is taking us as a church (and each of us individually, as well).
One of the prophetic imageries released over our church is that of us being an “oasis”. An oasis is a fertile place or a body of water in a desert. It can also refer to a place of peace in the midst of trouble and difficulty. This is a divine setup that we must pay close attention to as we enter into our time of establishing a building that will become the very beachhead of blessings that will flood this part of the east coast of our nation. It is all very exciting and personally, I’m standing in prayer and in anticipation for all He is about to release through us.
May we stand in and build up the house of the wise. May our families be known for wisdom. May our hearts be filled with an overflow of spiritual wealth, as we become a magnet in drawing people to the One who gave His life for them.
